Kurt Yaeger is a man of many talents. He was born in San Francisco where he began riding BMX. He competed and participated in BMX tours gaining the nickname “Crowbar”. After experiencing many BMX-related injuries, he decided to go back to college to pursue a Masters degree in Hydrogeology. In 2006, while attending school in San Francisco, he was involved in a motorcycle accident. A car ran him off the road; he hit a pole, went over a 40-foot embankment, and crashed on the side of the freeway. When he woke up, he couldn’t move one leg and his pelvis was broken. Yaeger managed to pull out his cell phone and call 911. His left leg was amputated; his right anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament were torn; his pelvis was torn in half, along with his bladder. Seven vertebra were broken; his lungs collapsed; multiple ribs were broken, and he suffered a severe concussion. After 28 surgeries, 3 months in the hospital, and a year of intense rehabilitation, Kurt was ready to take a SAYiWON’T attitude to Hollywood.

Kurt states, “SAYiWON’T means motivation. When someone tells you that you aren't able, not capable, not talented enough or smart enough, SAYiWON'T is a challenge response, a "you wanna bet I can't?". It's the come-back-line to all those people who either don't believe it can be done, don't believe in your abilities to accomplish it, or who just want you to fail. Say I won't... SAYiWON'T... watch me."

Recovering from his accident was a huge challenge, but he says the “biggest challenge I've had to overcome is fear of failure. It's hard to go out of your way and blaze a trail that might actually lead to nowhere or worse, into a worse situation that you are currently in. You have no idea if what you are doing is going to work, if there will be any future in it or if it's the right thing to do... I sometimes find myself questioning if I have overcome it. Hollywood is not an open door or a welcoming industry. You have to work hard... then work a little harder for even the smallest crumb from the table. However, when you get that crumb it sure does taste good. Granted, it's because you're starving, but it's still great... I guess you could say that I'm slowly getting over it each time I come to a new challenge. The more I work at it, the more I screw up, the more I learn and the more I progress to bigger meals.”

Kurt has found success in Hollywood. Not only has he appeared in multiple films and TV shows including; “Dolphin Tale” with Morgan Freeman, “War Flowers” with Christina Ricci, and “Knife Fight” with Rob Lowe to name a few. He recently played “Greg The Peg” on the hit show “Sons of Anarchy”. He created a production company which is currently working on a motivational show called “Thrive”. He is involved with SAG, AFTRA, and AEA in the Tri-Union global disability rights campaign called IAMPWD - Inclusion in the Arts & Media of People with Disabilities. He is also the Chairman for the AFTRA Los Angeles Local Performers with Disabilities Committee. His BMX career has not slowed down. He is currently the number one Adaptive BMX rider in the world and participated in X-Games 16 and 17. Kurt’s SAYiWON’T attitude has led him to great success, and he continues to push and open new doors.
